As a mid-level .NET/PHP developer you will be responsible for developing/maintaining custom business applications. You must be comfortable with developing new products from the concept phase onward, as well as taking complex and challenging existing systems and quickly developing expertise in maintaining/enhancing them. You must be able to follow software development processes, prepare detailed project documentation, and generate work estimates. You must be quality conscious, and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and on budget.

Requirements

  • Development experience with the .NET platform, including C#, ADO.NET and ASP.NET
  • Experience deploying and configuring .NET applications on servers a must
  • Development experience with PHP on Linux platforms
  • Experience deploying and configuring applications under Apache
  • Strong SQL programming experience with MySQL, ORACLE also a plus
  • Working knowledge of XML, SOAP, JavaScript, DHTML, DOM, and AJAX
  • Exposure to all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience with version control and bug tracking tools
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment working with local and remote teams
  • Must be able to develop solutions based on functional specifications
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Must possess problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
  • Aptitude for programming and learning new technologies

Quantum Signal (QS), an advanced image and signal processing company located in Saline, Michigan, is looking for a highly talented individual to work in the area of image processing and unmanned ground systems.

As part of a team of dedicated engineers and programmers, this individual will research, develop, implement, and test cutting-edge vision algorithms and techniques for application in both industry and defense. He or she will work closely with a senior vision engineer in a relaxed, casual environment where good ideas and creativity are highly valued and encouraged. This person will work on a variety of dynamic projects and be expected to multitask on a regular basis. Candidate must have a solid mathematical and computing background and be able to originate and implement new algorithms as testable code. Professional experience is not necessary but applicants must have demonstrated achievement in the area via prior projects, published papers, and relevant training. A minimum of a Masters degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering fields is required, and a PhD is preferred.
