Computer Vision & Robotics Research Engineer

IMMEDIATE NEED

Full Time Position

Ann Arbor, Michigan

Quantum Signal (QS), an advanced image and signal processing company located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is looking for a highly talented individual to work in the area of computer vision and unmanned ground systems. As part of a team of dedicated engineers and programmers, this individual will research, develop, implement, and test cutting-edge vision algorithms and techniques for application in both industry and defense. He or she will work closely with a senior vision engineer in a relaxed, casual environment where good ideas and creativity are highly valued and encouraged. This person will work on a variety of dynamic projects and be expected to multitask on a regular basis. Candidate must have a solid mathematical and computing background and be able to originate and implement new algorithms as testable code. Professional experience is not necessary but applicants must have demonstrated achievement in the area via prior projects, published papers, and relevant training. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering fields is required, and Masters or PhD are preferred. Applicants should be familiar with mobile robotic systems, java and/or C/C++, and will be expected to submit sample projects or code that demonstrates their skill. Candidate must be self-motivated and highly driven to build the best possible product. Job position is located in Ann Arbor, and salary is flexible based on knowledge/experience. Software Engineer/Computer Programmer

These positions involve working with a small team of engineers, researchers, and computing experts to build cutting-edge applications for government and industry customers. Professional experience is not necessary but applicants must provide evidence of coding prowess. Applicants may be expected to submit sample projects or code that demonstrates their personal skill. Any background in algorithms or image processing is a plus, as is experience optimizing code for real-time performance. Candidate must be self-motivated and highly driven to build the best possible product. Job position is located in Ann Arbor. Hours and pay are flexible based on skills, availability, and company needs. US Citizenship required.
