What if a forensic examiner could be in two places at the same time?
Traditionally, forensic firearm-related examinations require the expertise of a skilled examiner who is physically co-located with the evidence and a sophisticated comparison microscope. It is intensive, exacting work, and if the results are to be used in court, a second examiner is required to perform the same comparison for verification purposes. However, these combined requirements of expertise and co-location are becoming more difficult to meet. The limited number of forensic examiners and the amount of evidence from progressively globalized investigations make it increasingly challenging to get two examiners in the room with evidence in a timely fashion.
Until now. Quantum Signal introduces the Teleforensic Examiner for Firearms—a revolutionary teleoperated system that allows forensic examiners to analyze evidence remotely. The Teleforensic Examiner enables off-site examiners to utilize a comparison microscope hundreds or thousands of miles away to study markings on bullets and spent casings for matching purposes.

The Teleforensic Examiner is not a microscope—it is an add-on kit that transforms an existing Leica FS-C comparison microscope into a teleoperated forensics analysis tool. It is exceptionally easy to use and runs on a typical Windows PC.
Features
