Quantum Signal Makes Its Move

Quantum Signal has moved its headquarters to Historic Union School in Saline, Michigan. While it may seem an odd choice for an advanced technology company to be housed in an eighty-year-old building, the move reflects QS’s commitment to creativity and inspiration. Union School is a beautiful building with great character, and former students have left their own creative contributions in murals and wall art. The gym provides opportunities to clear the mind, and the building provides excellent facilities for vehicle and robot testing, collaboration, and shop and lab space.

Press Release: Quantum Signal Combines Road Sign Detection with Vision-based Safety Features to Reduce Traffic Fatalities

Approximately 40,000 traffic-related fatalities occur in the United States each year, at a cost of more than $44 billion. Quantum Signal is combining road sign detection with vision-based safety features to reduce traffic fatalities. QS has developed a state-of-the-art proprietary image processing technology called ESARR: Enhanced Situational Awareness via Road sign Recognition, and will be showing off the forward-looking vehicle safety system based on ESARR at Convergence 2010.
